You gotta focus on your yourself you gotta focus on what you you do best and what your weaknesses are and everything else will fall in place . So developing yourself and really focusing on your personal development , your athleticism , your conditioning , your shooting ability . Um , taking your daily vitamins , what it means form shooting , ball handling , all those little things will get , get you where you wanna go , um , but if you are constantly worrying about , OK , how am I gonna get there , uh , I wanna do this , this guy is getting an offer here .
After a short period of time in spring ball they knew that they could depend on me and I think that that like I said that's a that's a very valuable asset to a team . Personal goals for myself . I , uh , I graduated in December .
One of the most important things I focus on when I'm training is getting 1% better every day . I'm also challenging myself each and every day , so I'm growing not only as a player but as a person . Some things I focus on the most in volleyball is consistency , serving , being one of them , and then shots and being disciplined on defense .
The best advice I've gotten from my mentors and coaches is to continue to invest in those around me . Um , I've learned investing in myself is , is very important , and I especially , um , in that transition into college , that initial journey to get here can feel very , I would say individualistic at times where it's about you getting to this next level . But once you get here and you're surrounded by people who are at the same level as you , playing for a bigger purpose , um , I've learned trying to cast as many people under your net as possible , um , especially on this journey , uh , to hopefully reach a higher level for me , um , in terms of professional .
Don't be afraid to stand out , uh , stay afterwards if you need the time , um , and I feel like that's always been a really , really important way to step forward and increase your success in the sport in training at this level , I would say that the most important thing is to be aware of what you need once you've reached this level collegiately , you understand what your own strengths and weaknesses are . Um , and being able to be vulnerable with yourself and understand what your weaknesses are and practicing and trying to improve on those is gonna be an absolute like key player to improving yourself overall . One of the big things that was a transition for me between high school and college was the difference between uh weight weight room programs .
